Mushroom Magic with MushPellets

Mushrooms aren't just a culinary delight; they are a marvel of nature, offering both ecological benefits and a fascinating hobby. Today, let’s embark on a journey into mushroom cultivation using our revolutionary product, MushPellets.

Why MushPellets?

MushPellets are organically crafted for mushroom enthusiasts, blending 95% rubber wood sawdust with 5% nutrition to encourage the growth of healthy mycelium. This unique mix provides the perfect substrate for various mushroom species, ensuring successful growth and bountiful harvests.

Getting Started with Mushroom Cultivation

Before diving into the specifics of using MushPellets, let's cover some basics of mushroom growing.

  • Choose the Right Mushroom Variety: Select a type that suits your environment and interest. Popular choices include Oyster, Shiitake, Lion's Mane, and Reishi.
  • Create the Perfect Environment: Mushrooms thrive in a controlled environment. Pay attention to temperature, humidity, and light, which vary between species.
  • Sterilization is Key: Sterilize your equipment and substrate to prevent contamination.
  • Spawn to Substrate: Inoculate your sterilized substrate with mushroom spawn. Be patient, as this process takes time for the mycelium to colonize the substrate.
  • Fruiting Conditions: Once fully colonized, expose the substrate to fruiting conditions specific to your mushroom type. This often involves changes in temperature, light, and humidity.

Using MushPellets to grow Oyster Mushrooms:

  • Initial Preparation: Begin with 1 kilo of MushPellets in a polypropylene cover.
  • Hydration: Add 1.5 liters of boiling water to the pellets and let them cool down.
  • Inoculation and Incubation: Add 150 grams of mushroom spawn per bag. Seal the bag and let it incubate. This phase is crucial as the mycelium colonizes the substrate.
  • Fruiting: Once colonization is complete, cut an 'X' on the bag and start spraying to encourage fruiting.

Tailoring MushPellets for Different Mushrooms

Different mushrooms have different needs. Here’s how you can customize MushPellets for a few popular varieties:

  • Lion's Mane: Add 20% soy hulls. Ideal temperature is 15-24°C with high humidity.
  • Shiitake: Incorporate wheat bran into the mix. They grow best at 12-24°C.
  • Reishi: Use MushPellets alone, best at 24-29°C.
  • Oyster and Turkey Tail: These grow well with un-supplemented MushPellets.

PS: When supplementing with nutrition make sure to autoclave for 2.5 hour nor steam at atmospheric pressure for 12 hours minimum.
